Mwanakijiji helped connect me with January Makamba, a member of parliament who shot this image in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, on February 16. Makamba said he shot the photo from a three-story building about 20 km away from the armory. 'It's stopped. It went for probably an hour, intermittent two-minute explosions. But now it's stopped.'

iReport — There are reports flooding from Tanzania that an army armory about fifteen miles from Dar-es-Salaam is in fire following a massive explosion. The armory is near Julius Nyerere International Airport and unconfirmed reports says that the national civil aviation is diverting flights there to other airports near by. So far, no reports of injuries or fatalities has been reported.
The first reports of the inferno came around 10PM East African Time (2PM EST).
