Most people know that today, Feb28 is the day we make a stand as Kenyans. A stand of unity, showing that we can actually let go of whatever problems we have with each other and for a while stand together. All you have to do is sing, if you can do more, by all means do more. I can sing, so I shall sing. Let me tell you why.
I shall sing because for that short while, that 5-10 minutes we shall sing the national anthem, to me shall be one of the times we shall be united over one issue as Kenyans regardless of tribe, age, job…I shall sing because, even though I don’t know what the singing shall do to change anything, I do know that for that 10min we shall sing, my mind shall be on Kenya, not on the MP’s driving us crazy or even traffic.
I shall sing because I truly am proud of my country, not because of the magnificent things the government has done for me but because I choose to be proud of my country. I hope that I get photographs of every single part of it and show it because I love my home. If singing my anthem shall reinforce it even further, I shall do it proudly. I know that I shall feel proud to have stood with my brothers and sisters for 1 cause.
I don’t know why you shall sing, or not. Find your reason, you can be told by people but find your reason. This is the stand we profess…
We are extremely proud to be Kenyan! We are proud of our beautiful country! We are proud of our diversity cultures and traditions! We are proud of our heroes! We are proud of our high achievers! We are proud of being hustlers! We are proud of our hoods! We are proud of our tribes and twengs! We are proud of our kanges and our mats! We are proud of our artists and musicians! We are proud of our industries and farms! We are proud of our sports teams!
1pm, 1 nation, 1 people, 1 anthem, united in 1 prayer for 1 Kenya We are Kenya!
If you are one of the people wondering what I am blabbering on about kindly visit the Feb28 website and see for yourself and probably ask them anything you want to know.

O God of all creation Bless this our land and nation Justice be our shield and defender May we dwell in unity Peace and liberty Plenty be found within our borders.

Let all with one accord In common bond united Build this our nation together And the glory of Kenya The fruit of our labour Fill every heart with thanksgiving.
Wallpaper Monday [25] – Longonot
Keeping with my tradition here. We are celebrating our country, our resources today and this is one, the Rift Valley, and on it Mt. Longonot. At the entrance to Hell’s gate national Park, we received such good treatment from one ‘Mutongoi’, it made our hearts melt for real. Their service was super, it made me even prouder to call Kenya home. Enjoy the views.
